1. How to use the faucet? ​

Genie is currently available on Base Sepolia Testnet. To help you easily interact with the DEX, we've added a faucet for you to use.

Steps ​

  1. Once on the trading page, connect your wallet.
  2. Once the wallet is connected, click on FAUCET. You'll see a modal to get test tokens.
  3. Click on GET TOKENS. It will prompt you to add the test tokens in your wallet. This will automatically add tokens to your wallet.
  4. It would airdrop Sepolia ETH and other testnet tokens to your wallet. You could see the updated balances in Genie DEX.

2. How to Open a Position? ​

Steps ​

  1. Your must have some balance of underlying asset in your wallet. If not, use the FAUCET to claim testnet tokens.
  2. Click on the LONG tab and enter the size of underlying. You may see the estimated output LONG tokens that you'll receive upon opening a position.
  3. Click on OPEN. This would prompt you to approve the pool to use your underlying asset. Click on APPROVE to complete this transaction.
  4. Once the approval is complete, it would prompt you to confirm the transaction to open the position. Click on CONFIRM to complete the transaction.
  5. You could now see the updated LONG token balances in your OPEN POSITIONS tab.

3. How to Close a Position? ​

Steps ​

  1. You can close a position from the OPEN POSITIONS tab.
  2. Choose the position to close and click on the Close button.
  3. Enter the amount of LONG/SHORT tokens to burn. You may choose the amount using the slider as well.
  4. Click on CLOSE POSITION. This will prompt you to confirm the transaction in your wallet.
  5. Click on CONFIRM and you may see the updated balances in your OPEN POSITION once transaction is successful.

4. How to Add Liquidity? ​

Steps ​

  1. To add liquidity to a pool, go to the POOLS page from the top menu on Genie DEX.
  2. Choose the pool in which you want to add the liqudity and click on ADD LIQUIDITY.
  3. You must have the underlying asset in your wallet to add liquidity, or else you may use the FAUCET to claim test tokens.
  4. Enter the amount of assets you want to supply, and click on ADD LIQUIDITY. It will prompt you to confirm the approval transaction.
  5. Once the approval is done, it will prompt you to Confirm the ADD LIQUIDITY transaction. Click on CONFIRM to complete the transaction.

5. How to Remove Liquidity? ​

Steps ​

  1. To remove liquidity, click on the ADD LIQUIDITY drop down and choose Withdraw Liquidity.
  2. Enter the amount of LP tokens to burn and click on REMOVE LIQUIDITY.
  3. Confirm the transaction in your wallet to complete the transaction.
